My name is Erika Diaz-Chavez, and I'm running for the Chicago Board of Education. I've spent more than 20 years working for the Chicago Park District — in administration, programming, and community engagement — and I've learned what it takes to serve the public effectively: listen to the community, manage resources responsibly, and deliver results. Our schools need that same kind of leadership. When we invest in our kids, we give every family a reason to stay in Chicago and every child a real shot at a good future.
